Tahlia's fathers company was at the brink of bankruptcy and her love life was a big old mess too. Her first boyfriend was a liar and a cheat and recently she had made the mistake of letting some actor friend take her bag out to her car from the hotel and the press had a field day with that because the guy was married. The girl had no luck what so ever. The press made her out to be a party girl who was in the habit of stealing other women's husbands and not a care for the hurt she left behind. Tahlia met Thanos at a gallery art show for one of her friends and from the moment they met it was on. The sparks were flying and Thanos just hated the way he couldn't take his eyes off of her even though he hated what she had done to his sister Melina. I like the story but found that it had little or no conflict and it dragged a little in the middle. I liked the ending and I still recommend it.

Good read. Strong charaters. Hot.

Interesting read on a fairly common plot line. Arrogant Greek. Innocent English woman. H seeks revenge for a perceived wrong perpetrated by the h. He intents to destroy her by shredding her family's company of its last financial hope. He is disgusted to find himself sexually drawn to her so concocts scheme to make her his mistress for a month. The h is innocent in deed, morals and sexually, but has no hope of convincing H of this. She gives in to his demands in order to save her family home.
H beds her and realizes he misjudged her, but instead of releasing her of the deal convinces her to stay for the full month contract. During this time they build a friendship into their physical need for each other. Then h learns that promises were not kept and believes H lied to her the whole time. She leaves him, finds that he corrects the mistake during her travels home but is devastated by the events.
While the plot line is common, the dialog between H/h has substance. I enjoyed that time was taken to share mental thoughts and feelings of both H/h without dragging on so long you skim past to get to the next scene of the story. The reunion scene could have been written with more depth, but I enjoyed the twist that the H came to h with intent to mend the relationship. It wasn't an accidental meeting and the strength of the male did not prohibit him from acknowledging his need for her.
Harlequin's are short story romances that always struggle to really give you enough meat to the story by the very nature of how fast a read they are. Given that very fact I rate this book a 5 instead of a 4 because the writer took time create characters worth getting to know. Yes, I would have liked a stronger reunion dialog, but I really feel the role reversal premise to the ending was refreshing enough along with the overall quality of the book to make up for that.

Lots of sex

Wow! The author surely didn't skimp on the amount of sex these two had! Not that it's a bad thing, mind you. It was just bordering on a little too much. The plot is nothing new for Harlequin. It just had a minor twist of causing an accident to the sibling of the H due to an uncompromising circumstance that the h found herself in. I was very glad that the h was a virgin. Somehow this helped prove that she wasn't lying about what happened. I know, in some books, the H would be able to tell given the behavior & character of the h, but somehow, I'm always more comfortable if there was "physical" evidence. It makes for better remorse groveling from the H which I think is the best part of HP books.
This book is the best part of the Latin lovers & Greek husbands quartet bundle that I bought. I remember reading Chantelle Shaw before & I cannot find a consistent way to rate her. However, I think this book is one of her better titles. I highly recommend this book.
