It's Math

Although my field lies in Applied Physics, I used this in order to get a more well rounded and "Laymans" understanding of different approaches to what can be every day math. It's decent, but understand the idea behind how the book is organized and why. Basic introductions to several related and unrelated ideas, hence the name.

This book is confusing

The authors didn't lay out the examples, exercises and supplemental text in an easy-to-follow design. While doing homework, I would often find myself turning to other sources to help me in figuring out what was trying to be conveyed.

The step by step processes for equations aren't always clearly defined in this book, though there is some good material covered throughout some points of the book. Good for college math 105.
